She is an accomplished flute player and has recently taken up the saxophone ! She travels the world with Paul recording music on both digital video and audio tape. She loves location work and is never one to shy from a challenge. Her proudest location victories to date are managing to persuade a West African Port Authority to put on a 5am car ferry to enable a television interview with an esteemed village elder and getting a video crew to Yemen with 5 days notice ! She has become very adept at working creatively within tight schedules and financial constraints. She is passionate about recording the way ‘music survives through use’ and the importance of seeing music in a ‘cultural context’ – 2 very important aspects of all ‘Music on Earth’ projects. Additionally she has a degree in 'Creative Arts' and her last 3 programmes for the BBC have been 'Critics Choice'/'Pick of the Week' and she has also received acclaim from the New York Festivals.
